Teen Shiver Tabs

September 13, 2011

Welcome to TeenShiver!

We have so many exciting things going on at TeenShiver. We hope you’ll spread the word about our new blog that will feature & nurture Texas YA books that make you shiver.

First I will mention that we are proud to have Tori Scott & Lindsey Cummings with us. They both have agents and their first books are out on submission. Squeee!!! Please post a comment in support. I’m sure they need a heaping dose of love and a cyber hug.

Many of our TeenShiver authors are new to YA, but I can see very bright futures ahead for them. They need love too. Explore their books and see what I mean.

As Texas YA authors, we have banded together to promote literacy and our genre. If you are a school, library, or bookstore and want to reach out to our authors, please follow the instructions on our CONTACT PAGE. We’d like to hear from you if you’d love to schedule an event, are a cool reviewer looking to discover fresh voices in YA, or want to find out more about how to become a TeenShiver author.

For our followers, we will have the support of our publishers and will have very cool exclusives coming soon. I can't wait to share them. Follow us and be the first to know.

Welcome!

  3. For some reason, Linds--I still can't get the comment number on the home page for each post, but it's working here, so better than where we were. Oy!

Hey Sarah--Great to see you. Thanks for posting a comment. Where will you be in TX? First off, let me say that JenBigHeart is a TX librarian who is collecting the sites of all TX bloggers. You really need to tweet her at @jenbigheart and ck out her blog too. We have so many awesome TX bloggers/reviewers, you're gonna love it. We also have HUGE events for readers in TX. I've been amazed. Oct 1 is the Austin Teen Book Festival (ATBF). It's a one day free event that celebrates books & reading. They have free music too.

I hope you signed up to follow us. We're new but we'll be gaining traction soon. We want our blog to be active discussions. And we'll offer exclusive cool stuff here, so I'm glad you posted.

We'll be adding more authors soon. Welcome to TX (soon), Sarah.

  8. Hey Trisha--Good to see you here, girl.

Lindsey & Tori are keeping busy, trying not to wait by the phone. We all know what that is like. Grrrr! But look what they're doing to keep distracted. They've been a big help.

We're still sorting through issues, but our publishing houses have offered their support and we should have some fun things for reviewers and bloggers. In fact, I was just talking about you with Lisa today. Were your ears burning?

Hey Cath-No werewolves that I'm aware of, but who knows. We could get them housebroken in no time. We're actually a group of Texas YA authors who will be focused on reaching out to Texas schools, stores, & libraries for speaking gigs. We'll also reach out to all the YA lovers out there on the blogosphere - readers, reviewers, & aspiring authors. Thanks for stopping by.

  11. Hey Lori. Yes, I think we are a novel idea. I know my publisher was pretty thrilled with the idea & pledged support. Our other authors are hearing the same thing. As we define ourselves, more ideas will come. Thanks for your comment.
